When I first created my blog, I think I said ‘yes’ to every option, including pop ups.
“Enjoy Smudge on the Lens? Please spread the word!” has clearly been a success…given my 4 followers…! It pops up on my Contact page. Again, the only people regularly commenting on my page are just sending spam. I’m still waiting for a genuine comment from a stranger.
So, how do I stop this pop up that’s now irratating me? Here I have to pause and do some Googling.
Hmm. That was more of a holiday than a pause! Google didn’t actually help me a lot, but did lead me to the conclusion that a plug-in was somehow involved. I found the culprit was Ultimate Social Media Icons plugin.
I have now said ‘no’ to the pop up and saved the changes. In fact, I think it has been misbehaving anyway. I had requested the pop up only appears on certain pages, but I think it was ignoring me!
I shall just check if all is working as it should be. All seems to be pop-up free!
