Oh dear – I’m out of space!

I can’t seem to upload any more photos.  It seems I’ve exceeded my allowance for this sort of website!  Not so handy for a photography website.

I know some of my earlier images were a bit sizeable.  For some reason, adding the watermark made them a bit chunky.  I guess I’ll have to go back and re-size them.  Lesson learnt…

I can confirm things I’ve tried:

  • Deleting some images from the Library seems to have no impact.
  • Checking the size of my website.   According to WordPress, all sites “come with 3 GB of space for uploaded files and images. Upgrading to a WordPress.com Plan comes with additional space depending on the plan.
  • I downloaded the PlugIn UpdraftPlus.  By going to settings and checking the site size for PlugIns, Themes, Uploads and Others totalle 51.2MB + 1.4GB (see below).  Sadly, I’m going to have to Google how to add Megabytes and Gigabytes.  Brain malfunction!

So why am I out of space?  Still more exploring needed…
