Using a Right Angle Viewfinder

As I had a few moments to myself this morning, I finally unwrapped my birthday present and gave it a go.  I’ll admit, it took me a few more seconds than I planned to work out how to attach it, but I got there…it really isn’t rocket science.  As I’m just a beginner, this is a very basic viewfinder.  It’s by Neewer and was about £25 from Amazon with mostly good reviews.
So I took it out into the garden to see if I could take any decent pics.  In my defense, it was an overcast morning with a breeze.  I was trying to do close up pics of flowers without a tripod or monopod.  Lots of the morning pics have now been deleted!
I’ve attached a little Gallery to show some examples of images I took this morning.

So, on the plus side:

  • I didn’t get wet knees lying in the grass!
  • Less yoga-like poses needed to get up close to the flowers.
  • Easy to assemble.
  • Attachment swivels depending on the orientation of the image (I was a bit slow to suss this out!).

And the down sides:

  • I ended up with very smudged glasses…
  • Possibly more images were blurred, but that could just be due to newness and the conditions of the morning.

Overall though, I like my new toy!
