I thought this would be simple!\u00a0 I want to create individual libraries for photos that relate to each other.\u00a0 Currently, the default in WordPress is that all images are grouped together.
\nThis may involve Plug-ins according to this website:\u00a0http:\/\/www.wpbeginner.com\/plugins\/how-to-add-multiple-galleries-in-wordpress-posts-and-pages\/<\/a>
\nMy son’s nap time is over…so I’ll have to explore this another time!
\nUpdate<\/span> – another day, another nap time.\u00a0 I’m back trying to do this now, using the advice from this website:\u00a0http:\/\/www.wpbeginner.com\/beginners-guide\/how-to-create-an-image-gallery-in-wordpress\/<\/a>
\nHowever, I’m not having much luck!\u00a0 I’ve created a gallery, created a post and published it…but I can’t see it when I view my website…hmmm.\u00a0 Next step, just going to check if I’ve added the right Categories to my post.\u00a0 That did it.\u00a0 I created a Gallery Category and added that to the Menu.\u00a0 Then I assigned the gallery post to the new Gallery category.
\nStill a few problems though.\u00a0 It doesn’t look as great as I hoped!\u00a0 Also, some of the images are not aligned correctly.\u00a0 There doesn’t seem to be any image rotate facility and it’s quite obvious when a flower is facing the wrong way.\u00a0 My other plan was to add a watermark\/copyright to the images.\u00a0 This is going to require more investigation.
\nUpdate –<\/span> so, in the Dashboard, there’s a Media option.\u00a0 That brought up the image library.\u00a0 If you click on the image that isn’t orientated correctly, you can edit the picture, rotate it and save it.\u00a0 Let’s see if that’s done the trick in the gallery images.\u00a0 Yay!\u00a0 Seems to work on the desktop.\u00a0 Premature “yay” there…whilst the images look the right way round in the gallery, when you click on them and view them in the light box, some of them are still wrongly orientated.\u00a0 You’d think this would be simple.\u00a0 Grrrrr.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
