I’ve been on a little mission to try and capture the sunshine as it pours through the Blueberry bush in our back garden.\u00a0 The leaves seem to glow red.\u00a0 Now it’s a miserable day again, I’ve got a moment to show you my attempts.

\nThis is the bush in question.\u00a0 It turns a beautiful colour in the Autumn, and at lunch time, with the sun at just the right angle, it can look pretty stunning.\u00a0 Sadly, I couldn’t seem to translate what I could see into a great photo, but I enjoyed trying.
\nThese are the tools I used (obviously it involved a camera too…).

\nThis is a 13mm macro extension tube.\u00a0 It’s pretty cheap and if you were a pro, I imagine there are some wildly expensive lenses you could buy.\u00a0 But, as I’m a bit cash strapped, this actually does a fairly decent job.\u00a0 I had this extension tube attached to my Sigma lens (17-70mm).\u00a0 I was using a variation of Aperature Priority and Shutter Priority to try and capture my leaf shots.\u00a0 I didn’t use the Macro mode the camera has, as I prefer to have a bit more control over the photos I’m taking.\u00a0 Like I said before, I learn more from experimenting.
\nBelow is the shot that I think captures the red and the light of the leaf just right.\u00a0 It isn’t perfect, but I like it!
